Ask for something that is not in the library yet and it joins the queue.
Most of what gets added to this library each week arrives through this page. The catalog is small on purpose, since every entry is tested and written by hand, and that means the fastest way to get something listed is to ask for it rather than waiting for someone to think of it independently.
Every request goes into the same queue. Duplicates are merged rather than discarded, and the merge count is what moves a request upward, so a title five people asked for is listed well before a title one person asked for. Nothing is rejected outright, but a request nobody else supports can sit at the bottom for a long time.
Once a request reaches the top, someone pulls the release, installs it on a clean machine, confirms the version, sizes the archive, sets up the mirrors and writes the page. That takes a few hours per entry, which is the real constraint on how fast the library grows.
Requests for anything that is not desktop software are closed without action, as are requests for a specific person's private files, for anything that only exists as a service rather than an installable program, and for titles where every available copy failed the checker. If a request sits unfilled for a long time, that last one is usually the reason.
There is no request tracker to log into, because there is nothing on this site to log into. If you left an email you will hear when the entry goes up, and if you did not, watch the recently refreshed panel in the sidebar.
