What this site is, what it is not, and the conditions attached to using it.
These terms cover the use of this website. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive, and they are short because the site does very little.
This site is an index. It publishes descriptive pages about desktop software releases and points at mirrors that hold them. It does not develop, publish or own any of the software it describes, and every product name, version string and publisher name used on this site belongs to whoever owns it.
You may browse, search and read every page here without registering, without identifying yourself and without agreeing to anything beyond these terms. There is no account system, so there is no account behaviour to govern.
Automated crawling is permitted within the limits set out in the robots file, at a rate that does not degrade the site for anyone else. Bulk scraping of the whole catalog, hammering the search endpoint, or mirroring the site wholesale is not permitted and will be blocked at the network level.
Entries are written by people who tested the release. People make mistakes, releases change after a page is written, and a mirror can drift from what its entry claims. Nothing on this site is a warranty. If you find something inaccurate, the contact page exists for exactly that.
You are responsible for your own use of anything you obtain through this site and for meeting whatever licensing obligations apply to you where you are. Nothing here is legal advice and nothing here grants you a licence to anything.
