Overview
Office 2021 Professional Plus is the perpetual release that sits between the 2019 line and the subscription builds. It brings the modern Excel calculation engine to a licence you buy once, which for most spreadsheet heavy offices is the entire argument.
Excel 2021 is where the difference shows. Dynamic arrays mean a formula can spill a whole range of results without being entered as an array formula, and the functions built on that model, XLOOKUP, FILTER, SORT, SORTBY, UNIQUE, SEQUENCE and RANDARRAY, replace the awkward INDEX and MATCH constructions that every workbook accumulated over the years. LET and the newer LAMBDA support make complicated formulas readable again.
Word, PowerPoint and Outlook carry the modern surface: coauthoring on shared documents, comment threads with resolve, ink replay for annotation, improved accessibility checking, and dark mode across the suite including the document canvas itself. Outlook adds the immersive reader and translation directly in the reading pane.
The package includes Access and Publisher alongside the core four, and ships both architectures so the choice is made at install time. As with the earlier perpetual release, this is a fully offline suite with no recurring check in, which is the right answer for isolated workstations and for anyone who simply does not want software that stops working when a payment fails.

Installation Notes
- Remove earlier Office generations first, including any manufacturer trial. Mixed installs are the usual cause of a failed setup.
- Pick 64-bit unless a legacy add in forces otherwise. Changing architecture later requires a full reinstall.
- Setup can sit apparently idle for several minutes near the end. Let it complete.
Before You Start
Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.
If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.
Frequently Asked

No. It is the perpetual licence generation, installed once and used offline.
Yes. The setup offers per application selection so you can leave out anything you do not want.
