Overview

Smart mode applies a fixed format, quality and destination to everything so the quality dialog stops appearing entirely, and the in application downloads are unlimited rather than capped per day.

The output side covers more than a video file. Subtitles can be downloaded as separate files or burned in, with automatic caption tracks included where the source generates them. Audio can be extracted to common formats for anything that only needs the sound, 3D and 360 degree video keep their metadata so players handle them correctly, and a built in player lets a finished file be checked without leaving the application.

Installation Notes

• Turn on smart mode once you know the format you always want, it removes the quality dialog from every subsequent download.
• Pick a destination on a drive with room before queueing a channel, a large channel can run to hundreds of gigabytes.
• If a link fails, copy it again from the address bar rather than from a share button, shortened links sometimes resolve differently.

Before You Start

Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
