Overview

Most download tools handle either ordinary transfers or torrents. This one handles both in one queue, which sounds like a minor convenience until you have a mixed set of sources and only want to look at one window to see what is finished. The same scheduling, speed limiting and folder rules apply to both kinds of transfer.

Direct downloads use segmentation, splitting each file across several parallel connections and reassembling them at the end, with continuous state on disk so an interruption costs nothing beyond the reconnect. Torrent transfers use a full protocol implementation with distributed hash table, peer exchange, magnet links and selective file downloading inside a larger set.

Browser integration installs as an extension for the Chromium family and Firefox, after which links are intercepted according to filters you set, so ordinary browsing is untouched while anything matching a download rule is handed over. Media on a page is offered through a capture panel with the available qualities listed, and the resulting file is written locally rather than left as a stream.

Management is straightforward and covers the practical needs: a queue with priority ordering and active transfer limits, scheduling by hour so a large set runs overnight, global and per transfer speed caps, folder rules that route finished files by type, remote control from a phone on the same network, and previewing of partially downloaded media before the transfer completes.

Key Features

  • Direct and torrent transfers managed in a single queue
  • Segmented direct downloads with parallel connections and resume
  • Full torrent support with distributed hash table, peer exchange and magnet links
  • Selective file downloading within a larger torrent
  • Browser integration for the Chromium family and Firefox with interception filters
  • Media capture panel listing available qualities on a page
  • Queue priority ordering with active transfer limits
  • Scheduling by hour with global and per transfer speed caps
  • Folder rules routing finished files by type
  • Remote control from another device on the same network

What Changed in This Build

  • Improved media capture on players that fragment their streams
  • Faster reassembly of very large segmented transfers
  • Torrent connectivity improved behind restrictive routers
  • Lower memory use with a large number of queued items

Installation Notes

  • Set interception filters to the file types you actually want, capturing everything makes ordinary browsing tedious.
  • Cap upload slightly below your line's real capacity when seeding, a saturated upstream slows everything else.
  • Point the temporary and final folders at the same drive so completion does not trigger a slow cross drive move.

Before You Start

Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.

There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.

If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.

Frequently Asked

Does it replace a separate torrent client?

For most use, yes. The protocol implementation is complete, though a dedicated client offers finer seeding controls.

Will it capture streaming video?

It lists the qualities a player exposes and writes the result as a local file.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no paid tier gating features in this build.
