Overview
Dr.Fone is a set of separate tools sold as one package, and the reason it sells is that every one of them addresses a moment of genuine panic. A phone that will not start, a message thread deleted by accident, a device being replaced with no obvious way to move the contents, a screen lock nobody remembers, a handset being sold with personal data still on it. Each module is one of those moments.
Recovery works from the device itself and from backups. A connected phone can be scanned for deleted messages, contacts, call history, photographs, video, notes, reminders and application data, with a preview before recovery so you can see what is actually retrievable rather than restoring blindly. Existing backups can be opened and browsed selectively, which the manufacturer tools generally will not allow.
Transfer moves content between devices directly, including across platforms, which is where the ordinary migration tools stop being helpful. Contacts, messages, call logs, photographs, music, video and calendars copy from one handset to another in one pass, and the media modules handle the conversion problems that arise when a format supported on one platform is not on the other.
The system repair module reinstalls the device software to fix boot loops, recovery mode loops, black screens and update failures, with a mode that preserves data where the fault allows it. Screen unlocking removes forgotten locks on devices you own, and the erasure module overwrites everything permanently before a handset changes hands, which a factory reset alone does not reliably do.

Installation Notes
- Stop using the phone as soon as you realise something is deleted. Continued use overwrites the very data you are trying to recover.
- Take a full backup before running system repair or unlocking, both modules can clear the device depending on the fault.
- Use the cable that came with the handset. A large share of failed connections are cable problems rather than software ones.
Before You Start
Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.
If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.
Frequently Asked
It recovers what has not been overwritten yet. The sooner the device stops being used after a deletion, the better the result.
There is a mode that preserves data where the fault allows it, but take a backup first because some faults require a full reinstall.
Yes, the modules cover both, and the transfer module specifically handles moving content between them.
