Overview

This is the combined image for anyone who rebuilds machines regularly and is tired of doing the same two installs back to back. The base is the Professional edition on the 22H2 servicing branch, and the perpetual 2019 office suite is integrated into the image so that it is present at first login rather than waiting behind a second installer, a second reboot and a second round of language selection.

The Professional half carries everything the edition is supposed to carry. BitLocker full disk encryption with TPM, PIN or password unlock, Hyper-V for local virtual machines, Remote Desktop as a host and not only as a client, the local Group Policy editor, domain join, Windows Sandbox for disposable testing, and the update deferral controls that decide when a feature update lands instead of having one arrive in the middle of a working day.

The office half is the perpetual 2019 generation in its Professional Plus configuration, which means Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote. It is not a subscription build and it does not expire, so a workstation prepared from this image keeps working offline indefinitely. Excel carries the 2019 function set with TEXTJOIN, IFS, CONCAT, MAXIFS and MINIFS along with Power Query and Power Pivot, and Outlook handles Exchange, IMAP and POP with a full offline cache.

Hardware requirements stay at the older platform floor, which is the practical reason many people still reach for this line. There is no TPM 2.0 gate, no secure boot mandate and no processor generation cutoff, so an office full of five and six year old desktops can be brought back into service rather than replaced. Setup writes to a USB stick of 8 GB or larger and completes without an activation step at any point.

Installation Notes

  • Back up anything you care about before touching partitions. A clean install removes the contents of the target partition.
  • Disconnect secondary drives during setup so the boot loader is written to the disk you actually intend to boot from.
  • If you plan to use a different office generation, deselect the suite during setup rather than installing it and removing it afterwards.

Before You Start

Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.

There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.

If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.

Frequently Asked

Can I install the operating system without the suite?

Yes. The setup screen offers to skip the office component, which leaves you with a plain Professional install.

Will it run on hardware blocked from the newer platform?

Yes. There is no TPM or processor generation gate on this line, which is the main reason it stays in circulation.

Can I change the display language later?

Yes, from language settings. The packs travel in the image so no reinstall is needed.
