Overview
A very large amount of professional drafting is two dimensional and always will be. Floor plans, electrical schematics, site layouts, fabrication details, wiring diagrams and every drawing that ends up on a printed sheet with a title block. This tier removes the three dimensional modelling and customisation layers and keeps the drafting core, which for a lot of practices is the whole of what they actually use.
The drawing toolset is complete. Lines, arcs, polylines, splines, hatching, arrays, blocks with attributes, external references, layer management with states and filters, object snapping and tracking, parametric constraints for geometry that should stay related, and the command line driven working method that makes an experienced drafter far faster than the equivalent mouse driven approach.
Annotation is handled properly, which matters more than the drawing tools in practice. Annotative scaling keeps text and dimensions the right size across several viewport scales, dimension styles are centrally defined and updated everywhere at once, multileaders carry structured callouts, tables link to fields and to external data, and the whole set can be standardised so a practice's drawings look like one practice's drawings.
Output goes through the layout and sheet system rather than by printing the model space. Layouts hold viewports at defined scales with their own layer visibility, sheet sets group the drawings of a project with automatic numbering and cross referencing, plot styles control how line weights and colours translate to paper, and publishing pushes a whole set to a printer or to portable document format in one operation.

Installation Notes
- Set up your drawing template with the practice's layers, styles and title block before starting, retrofitting standards is painful.
- Keep external references on a path structure everyone shares, broken reference paths are the most common file handover problem.
- Save down to an older drawing format when sending to a consultant on an older release, forward compatibility is not automatic.
Before You Start
Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.
