Overview
Enscape is a plugin rather than a separate application, and that is the entire design philosophy. It installs into your modelling package and opens a rendered window beside your model view. Move a wall and the render updates. There is no export, no scene setup, no waiting, which changes rendering from a stage at the end of a project into something you do continuously while designing.
Host support covers the modelling packages architects and designers actually use, with the plugin installed into each one you have on the machine. The link is bidirectional in practice: materials assigned in the host carry through, and Enscape specific properties such as light sources, proxies and asset placement are stored in the host file so nothing is lost when a colleague opens it.
The asset library covers the population problem, with furniture, vegetation, people, vehicles and accessories placed directly in the model view and rendered instantly. Custom assets can be added to the library, and material editing runs through a panel that adds physical properties, displacement, reflection and self illumination on top of the host's own material definitions.
Output covers stills at print resolution, panoramas, video along a camera path, and the standalone executable export that packages an entire walkthrough into a single file a client can open without any software installed. Virtual reality is supported directly with the common headsets for design review at scale.

Installation Notes
- Install your modelling packages first, the plugin installer detects hosts and only offers those it finds.
- Update your graphics driver before first launch, ray tracing support is driver sensitive.
- Store the asset library on a fast drive, scene loading time is dominated by asset streaming.
Before You Start
Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.
If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.
Frequently Asked
No, it is a plugin that runs inside a host modelling application. The standalone export is an output format, not a working mode.
The common architectural and design modelling packages. The installer detects what is on the machine and installs the matching plugins.
Yes. The standalone executable export packages the walkthrough into a single file that runs on its own.
