Overview
KeyShot is built on a single premise: rendering a product should not require learning a rendering package. Import a CAD model, drag a material onto a part, drag a lighting environment onto the scene, and the real time view is already the final result being progressively refined. There is no render setup, no sampling configuration to guess at, and no waiting to find out whether the settings were right.
Import is direct from the native formats of the major CAD systems as well as the neutral ones, retaining the part structure so materials assign per component rather than per mesh. Geometry updates in place when the source model changes, which means an engineering revision does not cost the entire look development effort that was applied on top of it.
The material library is extensive and physically based, covering metals, plastics, glass, liquids, fabrics, painted finishes, rubbers and gems, with a node based material graph underneath for anyone who needs to build something specific. Labels apply artwork to a surface with projection control, and textures map without manual unwrapping in the common cases.
Lighting is environment driven, using high dynamic range images that can be edited directly in the scene by adding, moving and shaping light pins on the environment sphere, which is a far faster way to light a product than placing individual sources. The Pro tier adds animation, the KeyShotXR interactive turntable output, scripting, and the full library, so still images, camera moves and interactive web deliverables all come from the same scene.
Key Features
- Real time progressive rendering where the working view is the final result
- Direct import from the native formats of the major CAD systems with part structure retained

- Label and texture application with projection control and no manual unwrapping
- Environment based lighting with editable light pins placed directly on the sphere
- Camera control with focal length, depth of field, tilt shift and physical exposure
- Animation of parts, cameras and materials with turntable and exploded view helpers
- Interactive turntable output for embedding a rotatable product view
- Scripting for batch rendering across configurations and colourways
What Changed in This Build
- Faster GPU rendering path with better scaling across multiple cards
- New materials added across finishes, fabrics and liquids
- Improved denoising at low sample counts for quicker approval renders
- Import updated for the current releases of the major CAD formats

Installation Notes
- Import with part structure retained rather than as a single merged mesh, otherwise materials cannot be assigned per component.
- Use the geometry update path when the model is revised. Reimporting from scratch discards every material assignment.
- Render approval images with denoising at low sample counts and save the long sample passes for final output.
Before You Start
Read the notes above before running setup. Most of the problems people write in about are covered there, and almost all of them come down to an older version of the same software still being installed, a graphics driver that predates the release, or a security suite quarantining part of the package mid install.
There is no archive password on this or any other entry in the library. If something you downloaded elsewhere claims to come from here and asks for one, it did not come from here. Nothing on this site is behind a survey, a shortener or a countdown either.
If the entry does not match what the page describes, say so on the contact page and include the version string from the release details table. Reports naming a specific version get checked first because the checker can reproduce them straight away.
Frequently Asked
No. Material and environment assignment is drag and drop, and the real time view removes the guesswork that render setup usually involves.
Native import covers the major systems, alongside the neutral formats, with part structure preserved for per component material assignment.
Animation, interactive turntable output, scripting for batch work and the complete material and environment library.
